‘GRIT’
TCB GALLERY 20.4.2024-19.5.2024
“Grit: Exploring Non-Male Strength in Masculine Spaces through Art and Sport”
In “Grit,” the convergence of sport and art serves as a platform to spotlight non-male strength within traditionally masculine domains. Drawing from her experience as a former AFLW player, artist Luka Lesosky-Hay delves into the essence of this strength through the portrayal of her two muses and friends, Millie Brown and Nell Morris-Dalton. Through a fusion of paintings and sculptural elements, this exhibition delves into a version of contemporary femininity as seen through the dynamic lens of sport.

GRIT an extension
Unassigned Gallery 17.5.2024-20.5.2024
‘GRIT: An Extension’ builds on my previous exhibition, GRIT, at TCB Gallery, which focused on my two central muses, Nel Morris-Dalton and Millie Brown, and how sport can showcase non-male strength. This time, the extension show explores bringing sports and creativity closer together, highlighting their mutual influence and the potential for meaningful interaction. Both sports and art are powerful forces for cultural change, fostering strong, connected communities.
